On the 14th of June 2014, our school took part in the SMI gathering. Although we did not emerge as the overall champion this year, all the members had put in great effort in all the competitions and therefore, congratulations to the members of 12th Unit as well as 1st, 2nd and 31st Coy. It has been a surprise that we did not manage to be the overall champion this year but all the members vowed to work harder next year and grab back their title as the overall champion.

This gathering had enhanced the bond between members from different schools and it has given us an opportunity to exchange ideas and promote unity. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the teachers, participants, and ex-seniors for their commitment into making this gathering a success. We would also like to express our gratitude to the organizer of SMI 02 Kinta Scout Troop for giving us a chance to participate in this gathering. We are also grateful of the participation of other schools in making us stronger as we compete among each other. Last but not least, congratulations to the scouts of SMI who managed to get the overall champion for the year 2014.
