Charity Trip

The charity trip this time was a great opportunity for our members to gain experience from senior citizens. We visited an old folks' home in Pasir Puteh, Pusat Jagaan Seri Damai. It was indeed a memorable and valuable experience for all of us. 

 

 

We started by cleaning up the place and socializing with the old folks there.

P.S. the place was clean before we cleaned it up though.. heehee

Chit chit chat chat

After the cleaning was done, some of us were responsible to feed several of them who were unable to do it themselves. We interacted and chit chatted with them while feeding them. Surprisingly, they were very sociable and friendly.

 After having lunch, we entertained them by dancing and singing the fifties and sixties pop songs e.g.甜蜜蜜,月亮代表我的心,路边的野花不要采,今天不回家 and 只在乎你. The old folks there seemed entertained and loved being with us. Some even sang the songs with us and some were touched to tears. With a smile etched on their faces, it seemed that all our hard work and efforts were worth-while :)

We channeled all the funds we'd earned from our gathering, Impede Racism Flourish Love to this old folks' home in the form of cash as well as daily necessities.

             

            

Before we went home, we distributed some biscuits and kuih-muih to them as appreciation for having them spending their time with us. After this meaningful trip, all of us were instilled with the mentality that we must always appreciate our elders as they are like everyone of us who always seek for attention and love, especially from their own children.
