ST. MICHAEL INSTITUTION GATHERING 11 JUNE 2011

This year, the theme was "Unleashing the Legend Within." We got to know and bond with more brother scouts and sister guides. This year was also the first year that we were allowed to stay for the whole event until night.Okay, lets start our journal...
Early of the day,the 40 participants went to St.Michael by their own. After registration, we were allocated a class to put our belongings. Right after that, we prepared for marching competition. This year contingent was comprised of 10 fourth-formers members. The commander for the troop was Abberamee.Their formation was spectacular!

Not long after that, the modern cooking team rushed to their competition ground and there they went, bringing glory to our school!
Their food was based on Thailand's tropicanal dishes! It was just so yummy!(:
Coming next was the backwoodsman cooking team. The menu was also Thailand-based as we ARE A SCHOOL! Haha, that's right. With determination and less than 2 months experience, they started the competition efficiently and confidently with the boost from their best-of-friends!

Amazingly, every dishes were thoroughly cooked! Thanks to our Thum Chooi San, who kept the fire under control at all times throughout the competition.
Follow up next was the Iron Scouts and Iron Guides competition. Once again, the ex-winner, Chuah Mi Ching, held on to her post tightly! Followed closely up was Eva Lau, the 'anak murid'.
Primadonas RULES!

While all these were proceeding, our members contributed too! They hunted for the signatures in the faintest hope to get a placing and provides marks for our unit!

After that,we had a short break. The members walked around the school and took pictures as their pastime while the teachers chatted with each other!

Right after the break, the gathering STARTS! We presented our drama first. Later on, it was our banner presentation. The banner was a collection of hardworks and efforts by our members!

Next, we had two representatives on stage to promote a given object, that was, a chinese fan. They were so cool in advertising!
During the break for dinner, we even celebrated our assistant unit leader's birthday, Choh Pui Kei. Aww, it was all touching and HUGS!

Then, the night proceeded with dancing from our primadonas..Ballerinas on action!

Last of all, we had our final blast which was the singing competition by our singer, Thinarani.

We were relaxed throughout the duration for announcing the winners. There was a close tie between Main Convent and us. Then, 3, 2, 1...
The overall champion falls to *drumrolls (:
MGS!!!

MGS BEAT THEM!
Beat 'em, bust 'em x2
That's our custom x2

V-I-C-T-O-R-Y,
VICTORY VICTORY that's our cry,
VICTORY VICTORY that's our pride,
Split that V,
Dot that I,
Curves that C-T-O-R-Y!

And that was the end of our story! (:
