Our team comprised mostly the committes members. Out of the 12 of them, 6 of them were fifth formers and the rest were fourth-formers. Our team were to be join with 02 Kinta Scout Troop from St. Michael Institution. For two wednesdays in a row,we had to practice hard. But it was worthwhile because it was definitely an unforgettable experience for all of us. We even had to go back to the stadium in the evening to adapt ourselves to the real NIGHT EVENT!
The big day HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! We were both excited and anxious. We reminded each other for some basic rules and guidelines that we had been asked to follow. There were some changes and our troop carried the red flags that represented 'bravery and courage.' Our commander was Mohammad Hanaffey, the troop leader for 02 Kinta Scout Troop.
The most unexpected even for us was the gimmick opening ceremony. Fireworks exploded and decorated the azure sky with their wonderful bright sparks. Obviously, at first we were shocked by the explosion. Despite the sore feet and tired arms, we enjoyed the night very much.
After the tiring yet amazing opening ceremony,we had a rest. But the fun did not just end there! After recovering our energy and strength, we rushed to the mascot for our state to take a picture as remembrance!
We bid each other farewell and then all of us went home for a good night's sleep! (:
